Split ends can develop for several reasons, such as:-.
- Blow drying and heat styling
- Strong shampoo’s
- Brushing and combing (especially on wet hair)
- Rubbing your hair with a towel
All these factors can cause your hair to become dry, rough and brittle inevitably causing split ends, but you can minimise the effects these have by taking better care of your hair.
So how can we treat split ends?
There are obvious ways to reduce split ends, the first one being a trip to the hairdressers for a cut, but there are other ways you can help your hair. You can pat it dry with a towel just squeezing the ends slightly, use heat protecting products when styling and brush or comb your hair when it’s dry rather than wet. But there is one other way!!
Ghd are the first to introduce an innovative idea with their advanced split end therapy which lasts up to 10 washes!! Rather than the heat damaging your hair this product is activated by heat, allowing styling your hair to protect it rather than damage it. So how does it work?
Using only 10ml of the split end therapy cream massage it through your hair paying particular attention to the ends and where there is damage. Then blow dry your hair smooth and straighten it with your stylers as normal. The treatment fills and binds broken hair fibres together and the lightweight cream is activated by the heat of your stylers sealing each strand with a protective coating to avoid future breakages.
Suitable for all hair types and lasting 10 washes with up to 10 treatments in a tube your hair will feel sleek, smooth and shiny between cuts.
So excited by this product from ghd we’ve been testing it here in the Salon and stylist Melissa tells us what she thinks about it so far.
“At first I applied the product and blow dried my hair as normal but didn’t really feel it had made a huge difference. It wasn’t until I straightened my hair with my stylers I really noticed the difference. I can’t believe the transformation in the condition of my hair. The heat styling seems to have really locked in the treatment and my hair feels amazing.”
